On  Wednesday, July 2, 2008, God dispatched on an angel to Calvary Hospital (Bronx, NY) to bring his beloved son Larry D. Basnight from his earthly home to his eternal home. Larry D. Basnight was born on Sept 9, 1956 to james and Ethel Basnight in Chesapeake Virginia. He received his education in Chesapeake and successfully completed the necessary requirements and graduated from Great Bridge High School in 1975. There after he relocated to Bronx, New York. It was there that he met the woman of his life, M. Patricia Ingram who he called “Bae.” It was evident that they were inseparable and they were joined together in Holy Matrimony on September 3, 1983.

He was truly a family man. He was not only dedicated to his wife; he was faithful in taking care of his children. He worked for many years at Yonkers Raceway and later worked at Sound View Family Day Care Center to provide for his family.
